Java Application: Mobile Trail Explorer

Mobile Trail Explorer is an application which will work on various phones that allow Java applications to be run on. You would also need a GPS device in order to take advantage of this application.

With Mobile Trail Explorer you will view and record your tracks. They can be exported to KML or GPX formats and then they can be viewed in Google Earth. In case you want to remember specific hiking trails, that’s the application you need to have on your mobile phone. The application works both ways. That means you can setup trails in Google Earth and then import them on your phone.

Mobile Trail Explorer also works as a locator application. It will tell others where you are if you choose to. You will be able to send altitude, location, speed and heading information.
