Oct 17 Windows Mobile 7 Set to Arrive in 2010?
Published by Chris in:Windows Mobile, Smartphones, Pocket PC, Freeware,
Microsoft is working on both PC and Mobile OS. We know that Windows 7 for PC is just another Vista variant, supposed to be a lot cooler and to run a lot smoother, and we might have access soon to its beta version. The final Windows 7 is set to be launched in mid-2009.
Windows Mobile 7 is a totally different thing. The mobile OS might arrive as late as 2010. Microsoft should really work around it to launch it sooner. The OS was awaited to officially arrive next year but that might never happen. Is Microsoft rebuilding its OS from scratch after seeing what Apple, Google and RIM have prepared this year? Is Microsoft getting ready to fight the new Symbian alliance? I certainly hope so. In the mean time, major carriers and manufacturers should roll out Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrades for all their subscribers using a Windows Mobile phone.
And then again these might be just some rumors which people spread around the Internet! In which case Windows Mobile 7 is going to be usable next year!
