Opera Mobile Gets Updates, Widgets and More

In case you aren’t exactly following the guys behind Opera Mobile, I’ll tell you what they have prepared for us today. We have Opera Mobile v9.5 beta 2 with widget support released for Windows Mobile, Symbian UIQ. A developer version of Opera Widgets is available for Symbian Series 60 starting today in the Widget SDK.

The Opera Widgets SDK has also been updated and the widgets.opera.com site has several mobile-optimized widgets on.

The beta 2 release focuses on x-platform and x-device widgets and an X-Widget challenge has been launched for those who love to develop all sorts of applications.

The main features for the Windows Mobile release are the Widget Manager, the Zoom slider and various fixes for a better browsing experience. The UIQ version is the latest Opera build and it can be installed on various Sony Ericsson phones like the P1, W960, G700 and G900.
