After the Android security flaw dust has settled with Google stepping into the picture by releasing a patch for all Android users to gobble up, an Anti-Virus program from out of nowhere has popped up on the radar.
SMobile Systems a company that provides comprehensive software security solutions for all major mobile device platforms has taken the opportunity to jump on the Android Security Flaw problem that has plagued the OS ever since it was released. Even though Google came out and issued a patch, it still goes to show that Mobile Operating Systems are vulnerable to attack, whether it be based on Linux or Windows.

What Smobile Systems bring to Android is an Anti-Virus program called VirusGuard that will help protect your Android device from future attacks such as Malware and Trojans. VirusGuard will not be able to provide automatic protection so it will be left up to you the user to manually scan your system for potential threats.
VirusGuard is not a free application unfortunately, it will cost you a small $4.99 so if you are feeling threatened by Android, take it upon yourself and go ahead and buy VirusGuard. Personally I refuse to see the need for this application considering the fact that Android is open source. As soon as a threat shows its ugly head the Android open source community will take care of the problem.
