Well I think Mr. Steve Ballmer should be worried of this. Someone went ahead and replaced Windows Mobile with Android 0.8 on a HTC Touch Diamond. Does that mean we're going to see Android versions popping up on all sorts of other devices? At least it looks like other HTC devices will be able to run the open source OS.

But in the mean time remember not to mess with your smartphone if you don't know what you are doing. Some jailbreaking might be required which in turn, will ruin your warranty and you might get in trouble with your carrier.
Microsoft should expect some tough competition especially since various cell phone manufacturers have already announced they intend to release Android powered phones in 2009. And they'd better bring out their best in their next Windows Mobile 7.
