Steve Ballmer Confirms Windows Mobile 6.5 We were in for quite a surprise today. The unthinkable has just happened. The unconfirmed has been confirmed. Steve Ballmer has in fact admitted that there's a new version of Windows Mobile. And he wasn't talking about Windows Mobile 7. He was referring to version 6.5 which Motorola's CEO has mentioned earlier this month.

We'll be waiting for the first phones that will come equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5. And of course we'll be waiting for especially designed application for the next mobile OS from Microsoft. Until someone will leak over some details of version 6.5, here's what Mr. Ballmer had to say about Windows Mobile 6.5: "With releases we'll make this year - releases we'll make with 6.5 next year, Windows Mobile 7, I think we have a pretty interesting roadmap."
