For quite sometime now Motorola has been steadily losing market share to competitors, last year Motorola held onto 32.7% of the market for cell phones in the United States, now times have changed and that percentages has dwindled down to 20.5%. Samsung an unlikely candidate has stepped up and took the No.1 position due to a wave of high end and midrange phones that slowly drift users away from saying "HeloMoto"
Samsung now has 22.4% market share in the U.S but not enough to fend off Motorola unless they contine on this downward slope that has been haunting them ever since the Razr hype died. Motorola are currently making some drastic changes such as choosing only to ride with Windows Mobile and Android, ouch for Symbian.
