This year nothing appears to bode too well for Motorola as their mobile business continues on a downward slope that seems to have no end in the sight. So what else could go wrong for the former mobile giant?

Just the other day Motorola lost its throne as king of the hill in the U.S mobile phone market to bitter rival Samsung, now the dusts has barely settled and Motorola has been put into submission once again by another mobile competitor Apple.

Razr iPhone

The once very popular Motorola Razr V3 has been kicked to the curb by the Apple iPhone to take the number 1 spot as the phone with the most sales according to the NPD Group. Currently the Razr sits tight playing number 2 and that is not intended to change, frankly it will only fall further

1. Apple iPhone 3G
2. Motorola RAZR V3 (all models)
3. RIM Blackberry Curve (all models)
4. LG Rumor
5. LG enV2

Those are the top five selling mobile phone phones of all time in the U.S right now, I really do expect the Blackberry Curve to follow suite and take a swipe at the Motorola Razr V3 as well.
