Adrian Kingsley-Hughes from ZDNet took the time out to download the Windows Mobile 6.1.4 emulator and gave IE6 a ride and his finding are nothing surprising. First off according ti Adrian, it's good, better than the previous and by all means that is expected right? The thing IE6 fails to do is be better or be on par with competing browsers.
The rendering engine in IE6 is not as fast, faster than it's predecessor but still not fast enough. Pages render inaccurately like every other IE browser known to man, sometimes I can't help but wonder if Microsoft actually cares about the browser and are just wishing that IE would quickly die. Firefox Mobile is coming, and it will likely do what Firefox did for the desktop and by the time Microsoft comes out with a credible and useful IE Mobile version, too late might be their cry.
Windows Mobile users for now it's best to reject IE6 when it comes out and go out and get Opera 9.5 beta, nothing comes close to that sweet thing.
