Not many Windows Mobile user will care about this but hey, it's new nonetheless. The new IE6 will first feature on the China Mobile network so lets see how that pans out.
Our beloved China Mobile will be the first mobile network to carry phones that has the new IE6 mobile installed. These phones are the well loved Samsung Ominia line of phones and will be available to new and existing customers who I suppose will get IE6 via an update, don't expect them to use it anytime soon.
"Our target is not to convert existing users of the competing phones like the iPhone or Google's Android. We want to grow faster than the market. We want to have users in [emerging markets] get their first online experience with Windows Mobile," says Scott Rockfield Director of Windows Mobile.
They appear to be going at it the correct way but IE6 on the other hand still needs allot of work before it can even walk in the same league as the likes of Opera Mobile and Mobile Safari, maybe they will get it right when Windows Mobile 7 escape to the market next year. Anyone up for using Internet Explorer 6 Mobile?
