Apple issued an important software update to the iPhone on Thursday.
Highlights of this much-welcomed update include:
1. Enhanced Google Maps by providing "street view", instructions for public transit and walking, and sharing location through email.
2. Improved call quality by reducing call setup failures and dropped calls.
3. Enhanced Mail features by fixing isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email, better wide HTML email formatting.
4. Enabling direct podcast downloads via WIFI or mobile internet.
5. Better Safari and improved Visual Voicemail.
The update will also enable users to take a shortcut from any Home screen back to your first Home screen by pressing the Home button.
Another key benefit of the update is that it provides iPhone users to a choice to turn on/off auto-correction in keyboard settings.
