The answer is actually simpler than you think.

The good folks over at phoneWreck, a blog devoted to breaking down popular phones and showing the world the insides, exposed the very simple secret to the Blackberry Storm clickable screen - a button.

More specifically, a plate behind the display with a dimple in the center to push a button on a circuit board whenever you press down firmly enough.
