TiVo unveiled Tuesday a free mobile phone-optimized Web site to allow people to browse, search and discover television shows.

Simply put, the new mobile site will allow users to schedule recordings directly to their TiVo box from their mobile phones.

You can try it out by going to the new mobile site at m.tivo.com. The public can access the site with any internet-enabled phone through any network.

The mobile site contains a simple, straightforward menu. You can just click "search", "daily picks" and "most popular" to start browsing TiVo content that suits your taste. A "settings" button helps you customize the mobile experience.

Of course, a "help" button is also provided.
