Together with the launch of the BizBee line of enterprise mobile phones, Samsung has announced that the Samsung i780 smartphone now comes with the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

Before the upgrade, i780 was run by Windows Mobile 6.

Microsoft introduced the 6.1 version of the OS in April 2008.

The i780 has a large screen to enable document viewing and editing. The optical mouse and stylus as well as full QWERTY keyboard are aimed at proving business users ease of use.

BizBee is Samsung's attempt to present a line of business-centric phones, and has been launched in European markets like the United Kingdom, the Nordic countries, Spain and the Netherlands.

Quoted by msmobiles, Young Chul Park of Samsung Europe said that "the launch of the BizBee brand range will enable easier communication for executives with busy lives. In order to penetrate the business market further and strengthen our position in the smart phone category, we are delighted to launch the new BizBee brand, and the first of the products within this range".
