ACCESS today announced that it will start today a widget service for new smartphone models offered by NTT DoCoMo, Japan's biggest telco.

The widget service will enable users of NTT DoCoMo's new HTC Windows Mobile smartphone models HT-01A and and the HT-02A to download widget content from the ACCESS NetFront Widgets Community Site at http://widgets.access-company.com/mobile/jp/.

Available widgets include those related to networking sites (SNS), shopping and music, and they can be downloaded for free.

The only requirement is that a user download a free widget player for Windows Mobile or S60 to their mobile handsets.

Users can access go to the widgets directly by clicking the "widgets" icon on NTT DoCoMo's smartphone portal site which is the default home page for the HT-01A and HT-02A.
