Nokia today unveiled its new flagship phone, the Nokia N97, which the company describes as "the world's most advanced mobile computer".
The company also said that the N97, to be prices at 550 Euros (before taxes and subsidies), will "transform the way people connect to the Internet and to each other".
Quick specs: 3.5-inch 16:9 wide touchscreen display with a full QWERTY keyboard, up to 48 GB of storage (including 32 GB of on-board memory, expandable with a 16 GB microSD card), five megapixel camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss optics, DVD-quality video capture capability, WIFI, 3G/HSDPA connectivity.
Nokia adds that the N97 starts the concept of 'social location' (or "So-Lo") whereby the built-in A-GPS and compass would make it convenient "to update social networks automatically with real-time information, giving approved friends the ability to update their 'status' and share their 'social location' as well as related pictures or videos".
The N97 is expected to come out in the first half of 2009.
