Published by aimc in:mobile video, streaming, social networking, phones,
Social networking site MySpace will soon deliver streaming video from its members' pages for viewing in mobile phones.
MySpace owner News Corp said that the free, ad-supported videos would be available for viewing through the BlackBerry Bold, Palm Centro, Motorola Q9, LG Voyager, Samsung Instinct and Nokia N95.
The service however won't be available to iPhone users because the videos would only be streamed, not downloaded.
A Reuters report said that showbiz gossip website TMZ, the National Hockey League, National Geographic magazine and the opinionated The Onion newspaper will also produce videos for MySpace.
MySpace also plans to support mobile video downloads in the future, Reuters reported, citing a company spokeswoman.
