If the LG Mobile Developer Network succeed, there will be a bumper crop of mobile applications that run on Java ME, Adobe Flash Lite and Linux.
The developer network's website also enables developers to pitch business plans to LG.
LG's branch in the Philippines made the announcement at the local launch of a phone which makes use of the Adobe Flash Lite user interface, according to a report by Inquirer.net, the country's leading news portal.
In an interview with Inquirer.net, LG Philippines mobile communications chief Jon Santico cited "increasing demand for multimedia phones" for the company's decision to establish the developer network.
Santico also told the Inquirer that the network "offers extensive phone specifications, software development kits, an online forum and technical support on LG phones."
