Peter McDermott a resident in Beijing China, has pulled off something really great in the eyes of us who loves the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet device. What he did was to get Android to boot and run on the N810, sadly it's not perfect as it took awhile for Android to boot, but does that really matter? Hell no. Getting Android to live on the N810 and most likely future Internet Tablets, is a work in progress which I do not expect to take too long to accomplish seeing as the Tablets are Linux friendly.
Getting Android to invade your N810 is no easy task, and even when accomplished there are a few important things that are not yet up and running. What are those? Well for starters the battery won't charge when the power adapter is plugged in, there is no Wi-Fi so you'd be stranded without Internet and trust me, I wouldn't want that to happen to my oldest foe, that is how bad it is. At the moment I'm not sure if Bluetooth works in any form or shape but considering this is just Beta, if we may call it that, then I'm down with it.
Consider this as one small step for normal users, but one giant leap for the geeks, yeah we rock socks and pop tarts. Check out the video downunder:
