US carrier Sprint has launched the Blackberry Curve 8350i for its Nextel Direct Connect network.

Sprint touts 8350i as "part push-to-talk, part smartphone". It is both WIFI and GPS capable.

It is now available for $149.99 after rebates and with a two-year contract.

Specs to remember: two-megapixel camera, multimedia player, speakerphone, video recorder, a microSDHC card slot for expansion, Bluetooth 2.0 for connectivity, a stereo headset jack and a removable 1,400mAh battery.

For office productivity, the 8350i has Documents to Go is preloaded.

Other "virtual preloads": Pocket Express, Sprint Software Store, Navigation, BIZ Apps, AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo IM, NFL Mobile, NASCAR Mobile.

Sprint's standard package includes an AC travel charger, a swivel holster, a 1GB microSD cards, stereo headset and a USB sync cable.
