Like they did with AT&T, Apple made a deal with Orange in France to carry the iPhone for a number of years, unfortunately for them them, all that didn't go down too well with the likes of competing network operators such as Bouygues Telecom SA who were the ones who filed a complaint to France's Competition Council. Everything took a dirty turn for Apple and Orange as the Competition Council agreed with Bouygues Telecom SA, so expect to see the iPhone on all networks speaking sweet French.
The Apples and Oranges deal is under a temporary injunction at the moment until the Council comes to a final decision, which give the big boys allot of time to try and plot their way out of this impending doom that hangs over their heads. I suspect the outcome will see the iPhone on the Orange network for a short period of time before it is forced to go multi-network across France.
