Toshiba just made some happy campers with the announcement of a 512GB SSD Card, the question that will plague or minds are, what will the price be like and will it be fast, or slower than a tortoise.

Toshiba 512GB SSD Card

The 512GB Toshiba NAND Flash SSD Card is 2.5' in size, currently no other SSD Card brand tops matches 512GB so Toshiba as actually up the ante here. This new card should really boosts development of high capacity solid state drives, which in turn will bring down costs to the poor mans level in the long run. This 512GB beasts will be showcasing at the Consumer Electronics Show next year, this I cannot wait to see.

Other Toshiba Cards that will showcase at CES are some 1.8″ drives and 1.8″ SSD flash modules in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. These cards will be screaming at a speed of 240MBps and a maximum sequential write speed of 200MBps, more power to all these pocket-able solid state drives
