It looks like Christmas brought over some inspiration for the guys working at Mozilla's Fennec mobile browser. The company has launched Fennec Alpha 2 but only for the Maemo development platform.
Mozilla claims it has made good progress but the Alpha 2 is still an early developer release meant for testing. 2009 will definitely bring the first Betas of the Fennec and I'm sure we will be able to test them out on various mobile platforms.
Mozilla has been focusing on building a new interface that will have the sam functionality as Firefox and it has been working on adding touchscreen support and other important features needed for the mobile version of the famous browser. We'd like to test Fennec out as soon as possible, but we'll just have to wait a while.
