Days ahead of LG's launch of its watch phone, US-based Phenom Communications announced its own Phenom Watch Phone, which brings an unlocked GSM cellphone, an MP3 and MP4 player, a digital and video camera in a powerful wristwatch.

The Phenom Watch Phone has up to 2GB memory and features a touch screen, built-in Bluetooth, a USB port and a speaker phone. It works with almost any cellphone carrier in the world.

There are several models to choose from: SpecialOPS and Mi5 are for the serious gadget lovers. The SpecialOPS model has both a touchscreen and a keypad located right on the watch band.

The Glam and Stylista models are for girls and women, with the Stylista featuring external number keys for easy dialing.

The phone memory is expandable through SD cards. Users can load as many music tunes into the SD card and have them inserted in the watch phone.
