It seems that Santa can come early this year for Nokia N96 users. Especially for those living in North America. The NAM version of Nokia N96 will receive a major firmware update set to improve the overall usability of the phone.
The new firmware will get you a better handset stability, a better responsiveness to the camera's image quality, Bluetooth compatibility and the auto-lock feature. The most important update is the Nokia's Mail on Ovi service which will let you get e-mail accounts from your Nokia handset. But we've told you about that Mail on Ovi a couple of weeks ago.
All you have to do is get your Nokia N96, go to the Nokia Software Updater and get your update. Alternatively you can go to Tools, then Utilities and then Device Manager. Your phone should download the update and then it will update itself at the end of the download.
