Last time the pricing of the Palm Pre was mentioned, I wasn't too pleased with the numbers I laid eyes on, now I'm feeling allot more sane with this new price info.

Ok so what we got? Palm looks to be aiming for a competitive price for the Pre after all, the $399 and $500-550 price point did not bode well with me in every sense of the word. What I understand at the moment is, the Palm Pre will be worth $399 or 499 without a contract, and $149 or $199 on a contract, the number of years you will be sucked into said contract was not specified but if I was to guess, I'd say 2yrs.

Another thing I need to mention, it is said the Pre is will be hitting Sprint Q3 this year, but for the whole Quarter there will only be 200,000 handsets available due to limited non standard displays for the device.
