Asus has shown everyone some great products at CES 2009. And while most of them were computers the company also mentioned a little thing or two about its cell phone business. And it looks like the famous by now Eee line will get a cell phone too. The Eee Phone has been confirmed and we're looking forward to see one in action.
The Eee phone will be a low-cost smartphone. Besides performing as an usual phone, the device could be use as a remote for current Eee products.
What OS will the Eee Phone use? Well by tradition it could be Windows Mobile. But Asus might decide to go ahead and improvise for a bit and get Google's Android installed on the first Eee Phone. But what if Asus would offer the phone with both Android and Windows Mobile support? After all the Eee netbooks come with either Windows or Linux to choose from.
We'd love to see some sketches of the first Eee Phone. Could this handset become as successful as the netbook?
