Handcase, maker of apps for the Palm OS 5 (Garnet) platform, has promised to take on the new webOS and bring 100 of its apps to work with the new Palm Pre smartphone.

Handcase is perhaps among the first of many developers raring to provide apps to the new Palm operating system and smartphone unveiled early this month during the 2009 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.

Handcase CEO Ricardo Gray said the company will announce in the coming months how the company will support webOS and Palm Pre.

The company has also promised to serve apps to a growing number of users of Symbian handsets.
