Japan's biggest telco NTT DoCoMo and electronics maker Fujitsu has announced a special handset for the Taiwanese market which allows users to view and input the traditional Chinese characters and enabling them to access FET's i-mode mobile Internet service in their local language.

Based on the FOMA F905i model sold in Japan, the new handset has the following features: a 3.2-inch full-wide VGA two-position display, 3.2-megapixel camera and Fujitsu's proprietary technologies for exceptionally clear sound and voice reproduction at 30% slower speed for easy comprehension.

The F905i is the first handset jointly manufactured by NTT DoCoMo and Fujitsu that targets a market outside Japan.

The F905i will be sold by the Far EasTone Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (FET).
