IBM announced in the Lotusphere 2009 event that it has partnerred with Orange, Verizon and Samsung to bring Lotus Notes Traveler to more mobile users.

IBM said that the companies will support Lotus Notes Traveler on selected devices which will allowing "wireless replication" of Domino email, calendars and address books.

Under the arrangement, Orange will offer support for Traveler on Nokia S60 smartphones, while Samsung customers will have access on Windows Mobile handsets.

Samsung will bring S60 support for Lotus very soon.

Verizon Wireless meanwhile certified support for Lotus Notes Traveler handsets running on Windows Mobile 5 and higher versions.

Lotus Notes Traveler works with handsets powered by Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile 5, 6 and 6.1.
