Recently Apple fired some shots thought to be meant for the Palm Pre and it's Multi-Touch elements, now Palm is firing back. On your mark, set, SUE!

Apple vs Palm

Palm may be or may not be on the verge of getting a big fat lawsuit handed to them by Apple, but they aren't showing any signs of cold feet, instead Palm is talking tough and ready for anything Apple might have brewing. When asked about Apple's threat, Spokesperson Lynn Fox had this to say:

"Palm has a long history of innovation that is reflected in our products and robust patent portfolio, and we have long been recognized for our fundamental patents in the mobile space. If faced with legal action, we are confident that we have the tools necessary to defend ourselves."

So it now obvious both companies are on their toes, I hope it doesn't go any further than where it is now, the mobile industry really does not need to of the big heavyweights going head to head over patents right.
