SonyEricsson this week awarded the winners of its second annual Content Awards contest via an online ceremony broadcast on the contest website. The list of winners is led by Spb Traveller, an app for SE's Windows Mobile-powered Experia X1.

The winners emerged from hundreds of contest entries and were chosen by a jury of industry experts and "thought leaders" using the following criteria: ease of use, innovation, look and feel, entertainment or usefulness value and even audio performance.

The winners are:

  • Being Productive – Upvise, by Unyverse Pte Ltd, Singapore
  • In-Car Applications – GPSed, by Shape Services GmbH
  • It's all about the Entertainment – Bubble Boom Challenge, by ZED
  • Lifestyle Choice – Mobiles' Republic Media Explorer, by Mobiles' Republic
  • Themes and Graphics – Flash Lite Wallpapers, by ustwo
  • Special Recognition – EcoMate, by Instituto Atlantico; UFC
  • Xperia Panels – Spb Traveller, by Spb Software

Winners will be given an opportunity to visit Sony Ericsson's development site in Lund, Sweden, for an exclusive two-day tour which includes meetings with Sony Ericsson executives.
