According to Nokia, The Ovi Store's content will include apps, games, videos, widgets, podcasts, location-based applications and personalization content but with a twist.
Nokia said that unlike other app stores, the Ovi Store will "target those consumers with tailored content based on Nokia's unique ability to take advantage of and learn from the consumer's location and social connections".
The Ovi Store will also consolidate Nokia's current content services including Download!, MOSH and WidSets.
Nokia's content providers, developers and those part of the Forum Nokia developer ecosystem can begin uploading their content at publish.ovi.com next month.
Nokia adds that consumers will choose to pay for content with a credit card or through operator billing.
The Nokia N97, to roll out in June, will be the first Nokia device to include the Ovi Store on board.
