Alltel has quietly started selling the first CDMA version of the Treo Pro at its online store for $199, beating Sprint to the punch by 11 days!

Regular price for the Treo Pro is $519.99 but Alltel is giving subscribers a $195 online discount and a $125 mail-in rebate. The $199 online price comes with a contract, of course.

Alltel is now owned by VerizonWireless.

Alltel has CDMA networks in parts of 35 states and makes use of roaming agreements with competing providers to provide coast-to-coast service, said Wikipedia, adding that its roaming partners include new owner VerizonWireless, rival Sprint Nextel and Canadian operators Telus and Bell Mobility.
