The Symbian Foundation has finally decided to step on the gas and we're looking forward to see what the new OS will look like. And the Foundation has laid out its vision for the future. A timetable for the next few years has been presented.
A new numbering scheme has also been conceived. The next Symbian OS we're going to see is the Symbian^2 which should arrive by the second half of the year. Furthermore Symbian^3 is expected to arrive by 2010 and Symbian^4 will arrive by the middle of 2010. All we need now are some hot features and hot phones to go with those new OS versions.
