The move is perhaps part of Nokia's strategy to confront RIM's Blackberry's domination of the enterprise mobile email users worldwide.
According to the Finnish company, "Nokia Messaging simplifies the mobilization of email. This new solution allows the easy access and use of multiple email accounts, by simplifying the process and removing complex steps. Push technology ensures the quick delivery of emails directly to the mobile phone."
"Nokia Messaging is compatible with thousands of Internet service providers (ISPs), like with terra.es and telefonica.net. The service allows users to set-up, access and use personal inboxes in a quick and easy way. The service will be provided via a flat and affordable rate for Telefonica customers," the company added.
Nokia said that its email service will allows Telefonica Spain subscribers to choose from a wide range of Nokia S60 devices to "launch Nokia Messaging through an easy set-up process".
Nokia Messaging can also handle Yahoo! Mail, Windows Live Hotmail and Gmail and can access up to 10 personal email accounts on one device.
