Dell is being very persistent in trying to get its first Smartphone out the gates and into the hands of users. After US Carriers called Dell's first effort dull, they are now planning to side with Asians.

According to reuters, Dell is planning to release a Google Android handset sometime this year in China, the exact date is not yet known so we will just have wait and see. Analysts close to the situation confirmed that Dell is working with Chi Mei Communications an electronic giant based in Taiwan, the OS will be designed by another company called Red Office so my bet is the Dell Android phone would be highly customized like the Lenovo Ophone.

The Dell Android Handset is expected to be released first on the China Mobile network before making it's debut in the United States. I hope this latest Smartphone venture by Dell is worth while, they should have entered the Smartphone market long ago so hopefully it is not too late for them. I'm also tored of hearing about all these Android handsets and up to now only one is available, what the hell is going on at the Open Handset Alliance.
