Symbian lovers guess what? The Nokia Ovi Store is on its way and the planned number of items at launch sits at 20,000, no not 20,000 applications.

So Nokia has just one up Google and their Android offering with this announcement by Forbes, the Ovi Store when launched will feature over 20,000 items which include movies, ringtones, applications and a host of other stuff not yet known. If they pull this off it would become the biggest application store launch ever and should also prove Nokia's seriousness about what they are getting into.

The Ovi store will ship pre-loaded onto the Nokia N97 in June 2009 and every other Symbian handset that follows. Don't worry, you will be given the choice to download an application to gain access the store from your current handset when the store is out and about with glee.
