Qualcomm Announces 1.3 GHz Snapdragon Processor Toshiba's TG01 will be the first Windows Mobile phone to sport a 1.0GHz processor from Qualcomm. In fact it will be the first phone ever to use such a powerful processor. But despite the fact the TG01 isn't exactly available so far, Qualcomm has already announced a new processor, a 1.3GHz new Snapdragon.

The new processor will not be installed in a future cell phone as it looks like there's a new gadget ready to appear, the smartbook. The smartbook is supposed to be smaller than a netbook but at least as powerful. Such a device will use the new Qualcomm processor and it will run on Windows Mobile. Will it make phone calls too? We expect it too!
