Flash 10 for smartphones is slowly sneaking up on us, though it still seems to be very far away from mass consumer adoption.

We haven't been hearing much about Flash for smartphones in the news lately, Adobe has been very tight lipped about whatever that is going on in the labs, but the gateway to information is opening ever so slowly. Platform Evangelist Mark Doherty announced on the Adobe Flash mobile blog about Flash 10 for smartphones showing its face at the Adobe MAX 2009 conference in all its beta glory.

Unfortunately, normal users will not be able to play with this toy, only developers and to me that is pretty sad because we have been waiting for years for real Flash on our smartphones. I guess we can wait a little longer, after all, there are no real competitions in the wild to force Adobe's hand. Adobe MAX 2009 will run from October 4-7 in Los Angeles, California, if you're a developers then don't miss your chance.
