The new processor has been announced by Samsung, it is called the ARM Cortex-A8 HummingBird and like the Snapdragon, it has a top speed of 1GHz so this baby will kick ass, the iPhone 3G S can only dream to be fast as any smartphone running on this beast.
No date has been announced but it can only be this year since Qualcomm is the only player and causing a stir with the Toshiba TG01.

Finally? They already have 2GHz and maybe even 3GHz mobile processors too. But they simply don't disclose them, not now. But again, FINALLY? its been a decade with no dramatic improvement on PDA RAM and CPUs!
