Microsoft's Unlimited Potential Group just announced a new mobile software application for feature phones called OneApp. OneApp will make it possible for feature phone users around the world (and especially in emerging markets) to access mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger and others. OneApp was designed to make is easy for feature phones with limited memory and processor to have access to the most popular web services and applications.

* The OneApp lightweight on-phone footprint of just 150 KB makes the initial installation easy and fast.
* OneApp dynamically launches just the parts of a mobile app that a person wants to use, eliminating additional installation time and the need for a person to store all of the mobile apps on the phone.
* OneApp includes cloud services that help offload processing and storage from the phone to the Internet, improving overall performance.
* OneApp uses data networks efficiently to reduce data access charges, saving money for the customer.

Microsoft OneApp will be offered initially through partners in emerging markets worldwide. At the moment, Microsoft OneApp supports a wide range Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson feature phones.
