It's official, the iPhone is coming to China Unicom but one thing you should take notice of is the fact that the handset will not be official as previously claimed, hooray.

iPhone 3GS

The iPhone 3GS will grace China Unicom due to this 3yr deal agreed upon by them and Apple, as i stated above this is not an exclusive deal so other networks within China may jump on board as well. China Unicom has a massive 141million subscribers, with so many people on one network you can expect the iPhone marketshare skyrocket, well that is only if the Chinese welcome an iPhone without Wi-Fi.
