Google introduced Google Sync for Mobile earlier this year with the abbility to sync your Contacts and Calendar only. However, today Google also activated Gmail for Google Sync.

Using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol, Google Sync, now allows to get Gmail messages pushed directly to a mobile phone. Users can configure the function to automatically push Gmail messages to the phone's native e-mail application. That means your Inbox will be always up to date when you have always-on internet connection. For sure, Google Sync for Mobile still allows to sync just Contacts, Calendar or Gmail or any combination of the three.

Google Sync adds Gmail push support

Google Sync allows users to selectively choose which information to sync with their mobile devices. The service also works both ways, helping to quickly organize events or use a computer as a backup for the mobile device. To try Google Sync, visit m.google.com/sync from your computer.
