Mobile developers out there should better pay attention to Vodafone's latest initiative, the App Star Competition, which might bring them a healthy prize of up to 100,000 Euros. The carrier wants new widgets for its brand new Samsung LiMo phones, the H1 and the M1.
What you have to do is develop "the most innovative and useful mobile widget" you can think of for the 360 platform and send it to Vodafone where it will be thoroughly analyzed. The best widgets coming from the best two developers will be rewarded with up to 100,000 Euros. The competition has two phases. One phase is open right now while the second and final one will start sometime in 2010. Unfortunately only those devs in selected markets will qualify for the App Star Competition. If you live in UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal or Greece then you're good to go!
