Palm Pre Available for $79.99 at Walmart Only a few days ago we told you how Palm decided to cut the price of the Pre down to $99 as long as interested customers would purchase it from Amazon together with a new two-year Sprint contract.

As long as you live in the USA and have quick access to Walmart stores you can forget all about Amazon's hot offer. It looks like Walmart is comfortable at selling Palm's webOS phone at just $79.99. The price is available of course with a similar two-year contract from Sprint and if you're looking for a brand new smartphone you should definitely not miss it.

If you happen to be a Sprint customer it's worth getting the phone even if you're not going to really use it. You can offer it as a gift to your children who are probably more comfortable at using smartphones or even sell it on eBay for a small profit. On the other hand, if you happen to be one of those folks that paid $200 for the Pre a few months ago, you must be surely pissed about how things turned out!
