Driving and texting is a serious issue. Some studies have shown that it's even more dangerous to send SMS messages while driving than driving under the influence. TXTBlocker is a software solution which will stop you and especially your kids from texting and driving. TXTBlocker will be available for various mobile OS: BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android and iPhone.
Currently the application is available for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile phones but Android and iPhone versions are coming. It's going to cost you $25 followed by a $9.99 monthly subscription to use it, or you could teach yourself not to write messages while driving anymore. TXTBlocker uses GPS to determine if you're currently inside a moving car. In case you are, then the application will block incoming calls and messages.
The question is what happens if you're not driving or if you're inside a public means of transportation? The good news is that 911 calls will still work but hopefully you won't have to dial that number anytime soon!

I found a much better alternative to stop texting while driving. It's called DriveSafe.ly. You should review this software. It actually reads the messages in real time... and it's free! www.DriveSafe.ly is the URL. I wouldn't spend one penny to lock out a cell phone when I could hear my messages.
