A day ahead of Microsoft much expected event, the official release of Windows Mobile 6.5, AT&T has announced the first two phones ever to be able to run the new OS. The HTC Touch Pro2 dubbed as the Tilt2
and the HTC Touch Diamond2 aka the Pure
will be available soon, if not immediately from AT&T stores.
The Pure has been available in stores since yesterday and in case you want one you should be ready to fork out $149 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new contract. The Tilt2 is not available in stores but should arrive in the following weeks. It will cost you $299 after $50 mail-in rebate and with a new contract. As you expect, both handsets will be available with Microsoft much discussed Windows Mobile 6.5 and HTC will offer that amazing TouchFLO 3D UI on top. Let's only hope that the Marketplace will make these phones even more appealing than they already are!
