Rogers Wireless is the Canadian carrier to go to if you want some of the hottest RIM smartphones available so far. The carrier is getting ready to launch a couple of BlackBerry devices which you might already be familiar with: the Curve 8520 and the 9700 Bold 2.
The Curve 8520 is already an older model. Announced this summer by RIM the phone has circled the world already. Rogers will sell it for $99.99 with a 3-year contract although you will find Rogers' partners that will let you buy it for just $49.99.
The 9700 Bold 2 on the other hand is a totally new RIM creation which is rumored to set you back around $299 with a 3-year contract. Considering that Bell and Telus will start selling the iPhone soon, maybe Rogers could consider offering the Bold 2 for an even cheaper price. Rogers is expected to launch the phone and confirm everything on October 26 which will coincide probably with AT&T's and T-Mobile's similar announcements.
