Rogers to Launch BlackBerry 8520 in Crazy Lavender Flavor BlackBerry smartphones usually come in black and we're very used to that. But every once in a while we find white BlackBerry versions and other crazy colors too. Take this purple phone in the picture above here. It's a new paint job of the BlackBerry 8520. The phone should be launched by Rogers Wireless in Canada so if you're anywhere in the area and you love that lavender flavor then, by all means, go grab it.

The phone is available for just $49.99 as long as you're willing to get a new 3-year contract and the phone is available only in black at this point. But the lavender version is rumored to arrive soon which means you should better wait than get the black version which everyone else has. On the other hand, if you're waiting for BlackBerry phones, why not get the Bold 2 and the Storm 2? The handsets will be available shortly in Canada and they surpass the Curve 8520 in features.
